Growers
Beside our customers, we also think a good relationship with our growers is very important. Together with more than 80 growers worldwide, we provide our customers with a versatile range of high-quality fresh cut flowers all year round. Our cut flowers come from the most important flower import countries in the world. We mainly import from South America, but also from South Africa, Italy and Thailand. As a result, we distinguish ourselves with a wide and versatile range of high quality flowers and competitive prices.
A love for South America
Our focus is still on our first love: South America. Thanks to the ideal climate, countries like Ecuador and Colombia constantly supply cut flowers of the highest quality. About three-quarters of our import from these countries are roses, grown in the Andes Mountains. The location and climate in Ecuador is optimal for growing high quality roses. Because Ecuador is on the equator, nowhere else in the world the roses will get so much natural daylight. Due to the high altitude of the growers, the flowers take longer to develop, making them stronger and larger than roses from other countries. The roses from Ecuador are therefore also known for their very big head sizes.
In addition to roses, we also import Gypsophila, Hypericum, Alstroemeria and exotic flowers from these countries. We are also one of the distributors of preserved roses from RoseAmor.
Visits to our growers
We visit our growers several times a year so we can guarantee the quality of our cut flowers. We believe it is important to have a strong relationship with our growers. During our visits we can check the quality of the greenhouses, processing area and cold stores. Together we discuss how we can constantly provide our customers with the best quality cut flowers. We also discuss the latest trends and see the latest varieties so that our range always has a wide choice.
